Fair Fashion Look with Boerdshoert and Funktionschnitt

I am very excited to share another fair fashion look with you. This time I got the chance to work with Boerdshoert and Funktionschnitt; two amazing German fair fashion brands that you definetly should get to know.

I got to know Jenny from Boerdshoert back in August at the Vegan Summer Festival in Berlin. She had a beautiful booth at the festival and I immediately fell in love with her collection which is classic and timeless and yet modern and with a whole lot of cute details. She actually has  a shop in Berlin which I am totally going to check out in November or December this year. I will make sure to share pictures and stories from the visit with you here on the blog.

When I looked through Jenny`s beautiful autumn/winter 2016 collection I really had a hard time to hold myself from buying everything. As you know I am trying to choose more carefully what is allowed to enter my closet and I am more and more looking for timeless pieces which will be worn for longer than just one or two seasons. So I finally decided to get the beautfiul dark grey pencil skirt that I am wearing here. As you can tell from my last few outfit posts, I LOVE pencil skirts and I was looking for a dark shaded one for quite a while now. The one from boerdshoert is slightly strechty which makes it extremely comfortable. It is actually the most comfortable pencil skirt I have ever worn. The week I got it, I wore it like almost every single day, since it is so comfy and goes with basically everything. I think I will even be able to wear it during my next pregnancy because of the stretchy material and I cannot wait to try that (and no; the belly I have on the pictures here is a food-baby and not a real one 😀 ). I am thinking about getting the exact same skirt in light grey too… and maybe just a few other pieces from Jenny…

And this perfect blue tee? That one is from Funktionschnitt. Funktionschnitt is a brand that totally amazes me because they are 100% transpararent. On their website they have a figure showing exactly how much the different steps of production costs and where the prices for their shrits come from (you can see it here ). Not only is the brand fair trade and transpararent but they also treat the materials they use, with much more respect than other brands. In their webshop you can choose what you a looking for by choosing your favorite material and there is a whole section explaining where the different materials come from (you can find it here). We probably all know cotton and  linen but do you know what lyocell, tencel or seacell feels like?  To be honest, I do not because I fell in love with this blue linen shirt 😀

How do you like this 100% fair fashion look? Do you own a lot of fair fashion pieces? And have you heard of Boerdshort or Funktionschnitt before? I would love to know!

You look so beautiful, Rosa! Blue is definitely one of your colors, it looks so good on you; it really brings out your eye color! I try to be more mindful of what I buy, too, these days. I want to avoid impulsive shopping as much as I can because I hate the feeling of getting rid of clothing and shoes that I haven’t even wore as often as I initially thought I would. That skirt is so lovely, I love the charcoal grey color and it looks great paired with the light blue! Thanks so much for sharing and I hope you’re having the best start to your week so far, beauty!

I love this look, especially for this time of year. It looks wearable and comfortable, like you’d be able to go about your day in it, but it’s also chic and put together. That skirt is just perfect. I’m going to have to check out this shop!

Love the look! I love wearing pencil skirts with almost everything. A shirt, a blouse, plus it can be worn at work or for a casual day out! 🙂

Oh and it’s just sad that I won’t be able to see you on your trip here in the Philippines but we’ll definitely hang in the future. See you soon! 🙂
