Back from Boracay (the Philippines)

I am back from my beyond beautiful vacation on the island Boracay in the Philippines.

The next few posts will be all about my travels, however, I will share a few fall related posts inbetween too. I have a whole lot of posts ready to share, starting with a “what a eat on a whole food plant based diet while travelling”, to be continued with different outfit posts, featuring awesome fair fashion brands, and of course some cosmetics favorites of mine when it comes to travelling and especially when it comes to travelling to tropical weather. I am super excited to share all of these with you and I hope you will enjoy my small Philippines- series.

For today, I want to give you a first little insight of where I have been and what I basically did during my vacation – which is basically enjoying the beaches and the sunshine on Boracay. We went beach hopping and visited a different beach almost every day. The little one LOVED it, and so did we 🙂

We went to the beach every single day and it actually was my first time ever swimming in the pacific ocean. I never before experienced such warm and beautiful water (so far I swam in the Baltic Sea, the North Sea, the Mediterranean Sea, the Indian Ocean, and the Atlantic ocean) and I truly could not get enough of it. Unfortunatly I underestimated the sun which is quite different so close to the equator… different in the sense of stronger. I got pretty burned while swimming on the very first day and you can see on the pictures here that I was not wearing the same swimsuit the day I got burned 😉

By the way, my beautiful swimsuit is from MYMARINI; an ethical swimwear brand. All of their products are produced in Stuttgart in south Germany and designed in Hamburg. The fabric is manufactured in Italy in an eco-friendly way. I just feel much better knowing that my swimsuit was not made by a child in Bangladesh and neither by a mother working 16 hours shifts somewhere in China.

Next to the fact that my swimsuit is ethically produced, it also is super comfy and last but not least: it seriously looks sooooo good! I love it! This year, for the first time in my life, I actually felt much more sexy, pretty and cool in a swimsuit rather than in my bikinis.

Oh and I almost forget to say: the swimsuit is reversible. So you get like two for one, when buying this MYMARINI.

Have you ever been to the Philippines? How did you experience it? Have you visited Boracay? I would loooove to know!

I can’t believe how blue that water is! It looks like you had a truly wonderful and relaxing vacation. I have only swam in the Atlantic ocean. I have some traveling to do! 🙂

Thank you for your sweet comment on my blog and love the fact that you are into conscious lifestyle as well, Larissa! I am also so happy to learn about another ethical brand, and one in Germany no less! Sounds like you had an incredible time and yes tropical water and sun is VERY different to the sun and water at the Baltic Sea ;)!
Beach hopping also sounds absolutely amazing!

Wow, how exotic. I’d love to go there someday but it’s so far beyond my imagination. Kudos on the choice of swimsuit.

Wow, I love the pics, the beach and the water look so beautiful! How I wish to sit on a warm sand right now… it must have’ve been an amazing trip! It’s great that you had the time to relax with your family:) I really like your swimsuit, actually I’m thinking about buying a swimsuit next year istead of bikini. I was only by the Baltic Sea and the Mediterranean. Baltic is of course freezing, but the Mediterranean was so warm, I loved it:) Have a lovely weekend, hugs:)))
