Aronia-Apple Cider

These days in between Christmas and New Years are made for sweet hot drinks and hours spend on the couch, aren’t they? I think so and this is why I have a little recipe for you here 🙂

I love hot apple juice with cinnamon… and I love to pimp my hot apple juice with some extra healthy ingredients. This is how I came up with this aronia-apple cider.

Aronia berries have an extremely high concentration of antioxidants and loads of vitamins like vitamin-C, vitamin A, vitamin E, beta-carotene and folate. The berry also has minerals like potassium, iron and manganese. All in all, Aronia definetly is a super food and since I like to make my drinks, snacks, and meals as healthy as possible, it is obivous that I like to add some aronia to my apple cider recipe 🙂

For 0,8 L (two big jars) aronia-apple cider, you will need:

0,5 L Apple juice
0,33 L Aronia juice (always buy organic)
Peel of half a lemon
Peel of half an orange
1 ts cinnamon
A few cloves

Add all ingredients in a small pot and boil for around 20 minutes. You may want to add a little more cinnamon in the end. If you like it even sweeter, just add some maple syrup. If you like it less sweet, add some water.

    Love this recipe,so healthy and delicious 🙂Christmas was amazing,we spend so much time with the family and we got great presents,but we are still full after Christmas feastâ˜șWe’ve already got back to some exercises and the next few days will be all vegetarian, cos we’ve eaten to much meat.
