A weekend in the Alps

In the end of May I spent four beautiful days in southern Germany, in the so-called Allgäu. It was a beautiful little getaway for me and the little one while my husband had a few days off (well, not really “off” he got a whole lot of work done). Today I want to share some impressions from this little trip with you 🙂

The weather was cloudy and rainy most of the time but whenever the sun peeked out, it was warm and nice. I did not mind the grey weather and went for beautiful walks, with the little one in a baby sling from where she was able to view the impressive landscape. We also had several stops and pauses so that she could explore the wet fields and flower meadows. She really enjoyed to spend so much time in the nature – and so did I.

We did not go like really into the mountains because I prefered to stay on easy paths while carrying her. But the view on the mountains was really beautiful anyway, so I did’nt mind seing them from afar. However, I am looking forward to when she is older and we can all go hiking together 🙂

Have you ever been to the Alps? Do you like mountains? I really enjoy the mountains when I am on vacation but I think I prefer to live on the flat land. I grew up at the Baltic Sea where there are no mountains so I am simply not used to them. However, I am impressed by their beauty every time I go somewhere mountainous. The Alps are really really beautiful and I cannot wait for my next visit in the area 🙂

    xx Rena

Wow, those photos are gorgeous and it seems like you had a really lovely trip. It’s stunning how green is the whole scenary. Like you, i love the mountains but for a trip or holidays. For daily life I’m a city girl at heart. 😉

What a breathtaking landscape! I just love the bright green grassy fields with the gorgeous mountains in the background. I live a few hours away from a large mountain range, that in some parts resemble a smaller version the Alps. One area is even called little Switzerland! I would really love to travel to Europe to see the real thing though. It looks so calm and peaceful.

This is such an amazing photo views of the Alps . Have only seen these in the movies as of now . That’s why it’s so Imp to follow a few blogs . I am travelling to mountains too . It’s the holiday season . Schools are off for 2 months and we can plan a vacation . I am sure it must be difficult to trek with the Baby . Sometimes it’s okay to just enjoy the view . Have fun
Love to the cute one. Btw I never asked her name ?

Wow, what a wonderful views, how I wish to go there one day!:) So great you could spend there a weekend with your family. I love hiking, but I also love sightseeing and now we are wondering where we should go for holidays. We’re thinking about Poland though. We have so many beautiful places too:) I think we will go by the sea for few days as every year – the sea calms us so much:) But I’m dreaming about mountains too, we will see. Today we went for a long walk in the forest outside the city, it was great:) Have a wonderful weekend, hugs:)
