Who else is a little hot chocolate addicted? I am pretty terrible actually. I have a hot chocolate almost every afternoon. No kidding. Since I drink a lot of it, I want to make sure I get tons of nutrients with my cocoa. This is why I like to make a hot vegan superfood chocolate instead of any sugar loaden option. Here is how to make the easiest, yummiest and most nutrient dense chocolate ever.
By the way, I posted another hot chocolate recipe last year (this is how much hot chocolate means to me). Last year I posted the recipe for my really hot hot chocolate with loads of chili, turmeric, and other. Feel free to hop over to the recipe for more inspiration HERE
And here we go with the recipe…
For one big jar you will need:
1 handful of dates or as much coconut sugar or maple syrup as needed
350ml water plus a handful of nuts (almonds or cashews or even almondbutter) mixed well together)
Start by heating your water but leave around 1/3 cold and add it into your blender. Add all other ingredients to the blender and mix everything very well. Then add the rest of the water and mix again for a few seconds. I usually use dates to sweeten my cocoa, however, it does make the hot chocolate much more thick. In case you are not a fan of super creamy and thick hot chocolate, use coconut sugar or maple syrup to sweeten your heavenly drink.
I usually do not like to add all the hot water to my blender so I first blend one part with cold water and then add the hot water only in the very end. However if you do not mind you blender jug to become hot, just go for it.
Also, when adding superfoods to whatever is it, make sure to get the best quality. There are extreme differences in taste, especially when it comes to maca (but basically with all superfoods it is like that). I currently use products from Naturya (linked above) which I like a lot. I got to know them through my business and was really happy about it, actually 🙂
Enjoy this weather as good as you can lovely people! Its all about the attitude not about the weather, do never forget that 😉
