I am jumping on the trend. I know, noone actually needs blue banana nicecream and its normal yellow-white color is beautiful too… but it’s so much fun! I couldn’t resist and had to try some of the magical, blue spirulina-mix from Pure Raw.
When you are copying this recipe, you can of course leave out the blue color. However, with the white sesame sauce you will not get as nice of a contrast when leaving out the blue powder. You could, however, also use some red or green superfood powders to color your nana nicecream 🙂
No matter if colored or not, let me share the recipe with you!
For the banana nice cream here is what you need:
4-5 frozen bananas (peel ripe bananas, cut into pieces, and freeze the pieces for at least 12 hours)
That’s actually all when making the basic version. In case you like it a little creamier and a little sweeter you can add:
2 tablespoons soaked almonds or cashews
A little bit of oat or almond milk
And in case you like it blue:
2 tablespoon magical blue powder blend or some blue spirulina color powder.
Put all ingredients into your speed blender and blend until you are left with the creamiest, sweetest, and healthiest nicecream in the whole wide world 🙂
For the sesame-lemon-sauce here is what you need:
2 tablespoons tahina
2 tablespoons maple syrup
Juice of one lemon
3 tablespoons almond/oat milk
Depending on the consistency of your tahina, you may need to add a little more plant based milk to the sauce.
Mix all ingredients together.
For the final topping and to add a little crunch to your nicecream add some mulberry pieces on top of your glass or bowl. You can buy dried mulberries and just crush them carefully with your hands. Or you can buy already crushed mulberries to use as a topping.
I love the sweet honey like taste of mulberries and I think they just give the perfect little finish to this easy and yet absolutely yummy recipe.
Have you ever tried to make banana nicecream? If so what is your favorite add on or topping to eat with? I would love to know!
